Potteberg Estates, Swellendam
A Section 24G rectification application is being undertaken for the unlawful clearing of indigenous vegetation within an endangered ecosystem on Portion 2 of the Farm Potteberg Estates No. 516, Swellendam.
The Section 24G process follows the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998), the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 2014 (as amended), and the Section 24G Fine Regulations, 2017.

This proposal entails the application for retrospective Environmental Authorisation for the clearing of vegetation for the expansion of cultivated agricultural land and the development of informal farm roads on n Portion 5 of the Farm Krommeriviers Valley No. 14 and the Remainder of the Farm Krommeriviers Valley No. 14, as well as the proposed development of a dam and pipeline extension on Portion 5/14, Redelinghuys, Western Cape.
A Section 24G application is being submitted in terms of the National Environmental Management Act (Act No. 107 of 1998) (“NEMA”), as amended, including the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 2014 (as amended), and the Section 24G Fine Regulations, 2017, to obtain retrospective Environmental Authorisation for activities commenced without prior authorisation.
